[VIDEO] Firefighter attempts to save cat’s life by doing mouth-to-mouth CPR

MIRI – A firefighter became a hero after a video of him trying to rescue a cat from death by performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation (CPR) on the feline went viral online.

A video shared by the Facebook page “Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia Negeri Sarawak”, showed the firefighter performing the procedure on the kitten after rescuing it from a fire last Friday (Jan 21).

Unfortunately, the cat died 30 minutes later despite his best efforts as its lungs were choked up with smoke.

However, his heroism was nonetheless acknowledged by netizens, who praised him for showing kindness and love towards an animal.

“You’re the best! We salute you, abang bomba!“, most of them wrote.

The post has garnered 1.4k reactions, 88 comments and 825 shares at the time of writing.
