The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is on track to deliver higher dividends for 2024, following an encouraging financial performance in the third quarter of the year.
According to The Star, EPF is set to announce its 2024 dividends this Saturday (1 March).
Finance Minister II Amir Hamzah Azizan stated that EPF contributors can expect better returns compared to 2023, given the fund’s strong investment income.

As of the third quarter, EPF has already earned RM57.5 billion in investment income, surpassing the previous year’s performance,” he reportedly said during a finance ministry event.
EPF dividend for the past 10 years
EPF declared a 5.50% dividend for conventional savings in 2023, up from 5.35% in 2022, with a total distribution of RM50.33 billion.
For shariah savings, the dividend was 5.40%, compared to 4.75% in 2022, amounting to RM7.48 billion.

The 2024 dividend rate is expected to be announced in early March, with some economists predicting it may exceed 6%.
