Humans often claim to be a lot of things, but claiming to be bulletproof is definitely not on anyone’s bucket list.
A man in the Philippines was left with two gunshot wounds to the knee after he foolishly told his friend that he was “bulletproof” and challenged the latter to put his claim to the test.

According to Filipino news outlet Abante, the 50-year-old victim, Victor Hernale, was drinking at a workplace compound with his friend Roland in Davao City on Monday (Mar 3).
While drinking, Victor told Roland that he was “bulletproof” and dared the latter to fire a gun at him, adding that the bullet wouldn’t hurt him in any way.
News5 reported that Roland acted on Victor’s challenge and took an rifle airgun, where he shot Victor twice.
But as anyone would have expected, the bullets found their way into Victor’s right knee, causing him to collapse to the ground in pain while bleeding away.
Fled the scene but later surrendered to police
After firing the shots, Roland fled the scene. As for Victor, he was rushed to the hospital and is scheduled to undergo a surgery for his wounds, reported ABS-CBN News.
Police then launched a manhunt for Roland’s whereabouts in order to facilitate his arrest. Eventually, Roland turned himself in to them.
A case was also filed by the police by Roland for the illegal possession of firearms.
We hope Victor recovers from his wounds and will not make anymore outrageous claims that might get himself hurt again!
