Monkeys are known for their cheeky antics, but this one takes the cake.
In a recent incident, a monkey was spotted casually swiping a kitten from its mother and climbing up a tree with the tiny feline.
Surprisingly, the mother cat seemed completely unfazed by the whole situation.
This unusual event was captured by TikTok user @ismaishak82, who found herself in quite a dilemma.
It’s the season of stealing, and this time, a monkey has stolen a kitten.” the OP captioned.
The video shows the adult cat gazing up at the trees, where the monkey can be seen clutching the kitten as it swings from branch to branch.
The kitten, clearly distressed, was crying out, likely calling for its mother.
Thankfully, it was later revealed that the kitten was eventually rescued by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) and returned to its mother, much to the relief of everyone.
‘Poor kitty!’
The clip, which has since garnered 10,000 views, saw netizens expressing sympathy for the kitten that got ‘kidnapped’ by the monkey.
“Poor kitten, it was crying so much…”
“One day, the mother cat will tell her grown-up kitten, ‘You know, I found you in a monkey’s nest!’”
“It’s not just humans who are unsafe these days; even animals aren’t spared.”
