KOTA KINABALU – A family were left with injuries to their face and legs following an explosion while having a hotpot dinner.
This incident took place at a restaurant named Alamesra Restaurant in Sabah at 9pm yesterday (June 19).

A spokesperson from the Sabah Fire Administration Action Center said the victims were Robert Anthony, Mariana, and their two children.
He also said that they received a distress call at 9.06pm and immediately dispatched 13 rescuers to the scene.
The situation was later brought under control within 30 minutes and the victims were sent to the hospital for treatment.
An investigation will also be launched by the Fire and Rescue Department to uncover the cause for the explosion.
