34yo Factory Worker Falls Into Palm Oil Processing Machine, Gets Crushed To Death

He had worked at the factory for only 8 days.
Operating heavy machinery is often considered to be a dangerous job as accidents may occur and lead to life-threatening injuries or worse still, death.

A man suffered an excruciatingly painful death after he fell right into a palm oil processing machine and was crushed to a pulp, much to the horror of his coworkers.

According to a report by NST, police were notified of the grisly incident which took place at a factory located in Jenjarom, Selangor when they received a report on Tuesday (Aug 20) at around 9.15pm from the mill manager.

Kuala Langat police chief Superintendent Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor told the English daily that the manager was unable to find the 34-year-old victim, who was one of her employees, at the factory.

A colleague also noted that the victim had gone for a break at 1pm that day and returned to his post 50 minutes later.

The colleague added that when he took a break at 2pm and came back at 2.30pm, he couldn’t find the victim anywhere.

“He noticed that the palm oil processing machine the victim had been operating was running on its own, leading him and the manager to search the area.

“At 5.57pm, they found a shoe, pieces of clothing and human bone fragments at the end of the conveyer belt, all of which is believed to belong to the victim,” said Ahmad Ridhwan.

According to Sin Chew Daily, the victim is believed to have right into the machine by accident, where he was dragged right into it and subsequently reduced to a bloody pulp.

It also reported that he had worked at the factory for only eight days before the tragedy occurred.

Police have since classified the case as sudden death and the victim’s remains have been sent to to Banting Hospital’s forensic unit for an autopsy.
