At first, I thought it was a scam and wasn’t excited until I was contacted by an officer from the BSN’s headquarters and its Alor Setar branch last Monday. It was at that point only did I believe it.

“I also believe that the reason for me getting this windfall was due to me helping an ustaz pay a contractor who had built a fence for an Islamic school which cost RM5,000.

“At that time, the person who intended to donate the fence had just passed away. I only had RM1,000 with me but immediately transferred the amount to pay for it from my bank account,” he said.

He also added that he will donate a part of his winnings to charity along with performing the umrah.

Congratulations to Mohd Azhar for winning RM1 million and we hope it will be put to good use!
