Four parked cars were burnt to a crisp after a fire broke out during the early hours of the morning today.
Harian Metro reported that the incident took place along the roadside at Jalan Bahagia 26, Taman Sri Bahagia, Cheras.
4 parked cars destroyed in fire
Director of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Selangor Morni Mamat told the Malay daily that a distress call was made at 2.33am.
Seven firefighters from Bandar Tun Hussein Onn Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Bandar Tun Hussein Onn were immediately dispatched to the scene along with machinery.
“Upon their arrival, they were informed that four vehicles that were parked side by side were involved in the fire.
“The cars were a Suzuki Swift, Audi QS, Perodua Myvi and a Perodua Axia,” he said.
No casualties reported
Mamat added the Audi QS and Perodua Myvi suffered 80% to 90% in damages while the Myvi and Axia only suffered 10% to 15% in damages.
No injuries or casualties were reported as a result of the fire.
