“This is also one of the reasons why the lift keeps malfunctioning.”
A delivery rider has come under fire after CCTV footage allegedly captured him urinating in front of a lift at a flat in Cheras.

The incident, which occurred on Nov 19 at around 2.10pm, quickly went viral and triggered widespread criticism from netizens.

Does he think this is a public toilet?

According to the Facebook post that exposed the behaviour, the rider had just completed a food delivery when he was seen walking to the corridor near the lift and urinating directly at the lift entrance.

Does he think this is a public toilet? Absolutely no civic consciousness!” the complainant wrote.

“Residents worked so hard to decorate and repaint the corridor, and you simply chose to urinate here. This is also one of the reasons why the lift keeps malfunctioning.”

Netizens’ comment

Following the viral post, netizens condemned the rider’s actions and urged authorities as well as food delivery companies to tighten supervision to ensure riders maintain public hygiene and basic professionalism.

“Kaki kencing ni eh… The most frustrating part is that the hall hasn’t even been painted for a week. They just finished painting the hall and installing the CCTV, and now this person peed here. Didn’t he look around? The whole hall is freshly painted and the paint smell hasn’t even disappeared yet…”
