Altercation turns physical, officer bitten
A video shared by @mynewshub shows three DBKL officers restraining a woman, leading to a scuffle.
In the midst of the struggle, the woman bit one of the officers, leaving visible bite marks on her hand.

The incident reportedly took place during an enforcement operation at the Ramadan and Aidilfitri bazaar, where officers were ensuring that all vendors had the necessary permits to operate.
In response to the incident, DBKL issued a statement confirming that two of its officers sustained injuries while carrying out their duties, reported Sinar Harian.
The local authority emphasised that trading opportunities at the bazaar had been made fairly available to all, provided they met the necessary requirements.
The rental rates for stalls were set at reasonable prices to ensure vendors could operate legally and in an orderly manner,”
“This enforcement action was taken to protect the rights of licensed traders and ensure the well-being of city residents.” DBKL stated.
Warnings were issued before action was taken
According to DBKL, officers do not immediately take action against unlicensed traders without prior warnings.
Vendor who fail to comply after being issued a notice are then subject to enforcement measures.
The latest incident occurred at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman (TAR) and Jalan Benteng, where two officers were attacked.
Some individuals resorted to provocation and acted aggressively towards our officers, resulting in injuries,” DBKL added.
Police reports filed against aggressors
Following the altercation, DBKL lodged two police reports, and those involved have been handed over to the authorities.
The local authority also stressed that it would not tolerate any form of violence against its officers, who are simply carrying out their duties for the benefit of the public.
