DBKL Offers Discounts For Traffic Compounds From As Low As RM10 

This is in conjuction with National month and will end on Sept 30.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is offering special discounts on outstanding compounds for traffic compounds and other general offences until September 30, in celebration of Merdeka Day & Malaysia Day.

Special rates for different types of compounds

For motorcycles, the special rate is RM10, while cars, multipurpose vehicles, and small lorries only need to pay RM20. Buses and regular lorries have a special rate of RM50.

In July, DBKL increased the compound rates.

For motorcycles, the new rates are RM30 for payments within 15 days, RM50 from the 16th to the 30th day, and RM80 from the 31st to the 60th day.

For cars, the compound rates are RM50 within the first 15 days, RM80 from the 16th to the 30th day, and RM100 from the 31st to the 60th day.

For heavy vehicles, the rates are RM200 within the first 15 days, RM250 from the 16th to the 30th day, and RM300 from the 31st to the 60th day.

Does not apply to blacklisted vehicles

DBKL stated that the discounts do not apply to blacklisted vehicles.

Additionally, a special rate of RM100 is set for general offences involving food stall operators and licenses, but this does not extend to foreigners.

The special rate is not applicable to offences under the Hotels (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) Act 2003, Entertainment (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) Act 1992, Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974, or those involving workers’ permits.
