KUALA LUMPUR – A baby panda from Zoo Negara was caught trying to escape from its living area by climbing over the bamboo fence.
In a video bursting with furry cuteness uploaded by Zoo Negara’s TikTok account, the baby panda was seen standing on top of a rock mounted to the wall, using it to prop itself against the bamboo fence.
After successfully grabbing onto the railing, the baby panda then pulls its entire body up the bamboo fence with its front paws.
A speech bubble with the words “I will escape!” was also inserted on top of the baby panda’s head, as if narrating its inner thoughts as it hoisted itself up the fence.
The video then pans to the opposite side of the fence, where the baby panda clutched onto nearby objects to regain stability as it stood gingerly on the fence.
Alas, a zookeeper then appeared with a ladder and instead of instead of rescuing the baby panda from the edge of the fence, he gently pushed the panda’s paws off and caused it to fall back into its den.

Cuteness overload!
Many netizens went all warm and fuzzy over the clip, commenting how cute and adorable the baby panda was in plotting its escape.
Many also commented on this panda who has proven to be the smarter one of the batch.
However, some criticised the zookeeper for pushing the baby panda off the fence instead of carrying it down to safety.
