A flyover bridge was seen to have a growing crack according to the speculation of a netizen, who shared comparison photos from April this year and a recent one.
The concern arose after the user posted the photos on Facebook, suggesting that the crack might have worsened.
April vs June
According to the photos provided by the concerned citizen, one captured in April and the other in June, a black mark resembling a crack can be seen on the flyover.

Comparing the two photos, the one from June appears larger and more prominent, suggesting a growing crack.

This has sparked discussion among netizens, with many raising concerns over a potential collapse that could endanger the road users beneath it.
Works Minister directed immediate inspection
The Works Minister, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, swiftly responded, informing that he has directed the Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia and the concessionaire of the Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway (SPE) to immediately look into the incident.
Responding to the user’s post on X, the minister emphasized the seriousness of the matter.
“I have instructed the Highway Authority and the SPE concessionaire to visit the site tonight (last night) to conduct immediate inspections and assessments,” he stated.
“The safety of everyone, especially road users, is of utmost importance,” he added.
