A cow had probably the luckiest moment of its life after it miraculously survived getting hit by not one, but two vehicles in Baling, Kedah.
However, the same couldn’t be said for the motorcyclist that crashed into the animal, where he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Cow survives after getting hit by car and motorcycle
According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, the incident took place at 9.45pm on Tuesday (Mar 4) when the cow was crossing the road.
In the midst of doing so, a motorcycle and a car collided with it, resulting in the animal sustaining wounds to its back.
Despite blood dripping down its back, the cow still managed to stand after sustaining the impact of the crashes.
Motorcyclist killed, car driver & passengers slightly hurt
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist, later identified as 43-year-old Muhammad Nohikwan, didn’t survive the crash.
According to Baling district police chief Superintendent Azmi Mokhtar, he said Nohikwan failed to see the cow in time and couldn’t swerve away from it.
After he crashed into the cow, his motorcycle flipped and this led to him sustaining multiple injuries and dying at the scene. His body was later taken to the Kulim Hospital for an autopsy.
As for the car, the driver and his wife and child suffered minor injuries. However, the car bore the brunt of the crash, where its windshield was completely shattered.
The case is now being probed under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless driving.
