“COVID is real!” Grieving family bid farewell to relative who succumbed to the virus

How much longer do innocent families need to suffer?

Even more disheartening is the increasing death toll, with 5,677 lives lost thus far. It has torn many families apart, who are forced to reckon with the grim reality of the deadly disease.

Due to COVID-19 safety measures, the family could only say their goodbyes from the side of the road as they watched the hearse driving away.

An officer could also be heard apologising for not being able to stop for the family to have one final look before heading to the burial grounds.

The video is believed to be recorded at her aunt’s home in Janda Baik, Pahang.

The video has since accumulated 1.3k comments, with netizens offering their condolences to Siti’s family. Siti later thanked netizens for their kindness and warned them of the dangers of COVID-19.

“Thank you everyone who have shared the video and prayed for my aunt. I hope everyone stays safe during the pandemic too. COVID is real!”

She added that her father’s siblings had all departed within the span of a year.

Our deepest condolences goes out to Siti and those who have lost their loves ones in these trying times.
