A couple staying at a hotel in Suzhou, China, had a nightmare experience when a half-naked stranger walked into their room at midnight while they were sleeping.
“I think someone’s in our room”
The husband, surnamed Sun, said the incident happened around 12am on Oct. 28.
His wife suddenly woke him up, saying she sensed someone else was inside.
When he opened his eyes, he saw a bare-chested, barefoot man, wearing only black trousers, standing near their bed.
We were stunned. He looked like a 200-pound man with no shirt and no shoes.”
Sun said it took him a few seconds to react before he grabbed his phone to call the hotel front desk and police.
Man mumbled and couldn’t explain himself
Sun asked the stranger who he was, but the man couldn’t give a clear answer.
Fearing for their safety, Sun told him to leave immediately while calming his wife.
Police later confirmed the intruder entered due to a keycard mistake made by hotel staff, which wrongly allowed him access to Sun’s room.
The stranger was reportedly staying in the room next door.
Sun also discovered their room couldn’t lock properly, and the hotel admitted the door had issues.
The couple said they tried calling the front desk four to five times, but no one picked up.
Sun later shared that his wife is now anxious every night and repeatedly checks the door before sleeping.
A doctor has diagnosed her with acute stress reaction.
