# Chinese Uncle Teaches Malay Man How To Sing Mixue Jingle To Win Free Ice Cream

##### A wholesome moment between two elderly Malaysians — one Malay, the other Chinese — at a Mixue outlet in Taman Maluri has melted hearts across the internet, proving once again that unity transcends race.

A video shared on [TikTok](https://www.tiktok.com/@mixue.maluri/video/7501499156725337352) captured the moment at Mixue’s Cheras Maluri branch, where a singing-for-ice-cream campaign was taking place.

## Singing classes on the spot

An elderly Malay uncle wanted to participate but wasn’t familiar with the jingle required to redeem the free ice cream.

That’s when a Chinese senior stepped in, offering an impromptu crash course in the song.

In the now-viral video, the Chinese uncle patiently taught him the lyrics line by line, guiding him through the tune until he could sing it on his own.

The end result? Both uncles walked away with a sweet reward — and not just the ice cream, but also a moment of genuine connection.

## Netizens' reaction

Many also took the opportunity to reminisce about the good old days of living harmoniously across racial lines.
