China Tourist Forced To Run In The Rain During KL Trip, Says He’ll Never Visit Again

Malaysians: First time?
Whenever one visits foreign country, the main aim is to relax and enjoy the most out of the trip. However, there are times when things don’t go exactly as planned.

A tourist from China swore that he would never step foot into KL again following a string of unfortunate events which took place during his trip.

In a 35-second video shared by the tourist on Xiaohongshu (XHS), it showed the OP huffing and puffing loudly as he and a female companion made a mad dash across the pavement near Merdeka Square amid heavy rain.

According to the caption, the OP wrote that he was visiting Merdeka Square but it suddenly rained heavily out of nowhere.

We tried calling for an e-hailing ride, but none of them were able to drive into Merdeka Square, forcing us to cancel several bookings. In the end, we had to run like crazy in the rain.

“I was panting like a pig the entire time. This is too hard,” he lamented.

However, he admitted that he didn’t bring an umbrella with him and was thoroughly soaked when he finally reached the car.

Complained of missing luggage, flight, & poor accommodation

Aside from having to run in the rain, the tourist also had other grouses concerning his KL trip.

In the caption, he claimed that he nearly missed his flight to KL due to ticketing problems and stayed at an apartment that provided “poor service”.

Furthermore, he also claimed in the comment thread that his luggage went missing, adding another bitter dose to his already disastrous trip.

‘It’s the rainy season, bro!’

Despite the tourist’s many complaints, Malaysians weren’t exactly sympathetic to his plight, with a majority of them saying that he would’ve known it was currently the rainy season had he done his research beforehand.

‘It’s the rainy season for Malaysia during April and May. So of course the amount of rain will be more.’

In the same vein, a netizen commented that perhaps the OP was best suited to travel to countries that don’t have rainy days. The Sahara Desert, perhaps?
