Highly-secured lounge and chips

The Sky Casino, known for its exclusive gaming experience, offers a variety of gaming lounges, each tailored to different levels of players. The regular hall, accessible to all, circulates chips with denominations up to RM500.

For the more discerning gambler, the gold card and platinum halls offer a heightened sense of luxury and privacy, with chips going as high as RM10,000, known colloquially as “strawberries” due to their distinctive red hue.

The second-highest denomination, the RM5,000 chips, are yellow and affectionately termed “pineapples” by regular patrons.

However, it was the Premium Lounge, a private and opulent space reserved for high rollers and VIP members, where the theft took place.

Here, the stakes are higher, and the chip denominations soar, catering to a clientele that demands exclusivity and the utmost privacy.

The Genting Casino chips are not just currency but are also embedded with high-tech security features.

Each chip contains a security chip and a unique serial number, akin to those on banknotes, making it difficult to cash in undetected.

Under ultraviolet light, these chips reveal intricate patterns and text as part of their anti-counterfeit measures.

Despite these security measures, the thieves managed to execute the heist, raising questions about internal security and the potential for an inside job.
