A carpet manufacturing factory in Nilai 3 Industrial Area was completely destroyed by a massive fire this morning (Feb 21).

Fire ravages factory in under an hour
According to a Fire and Rescue Department spokesman, a distress call was received via the MERS 999 line at approximately 7.50am.
As per a report by The Star, firefighters arrived shortly after 8am, only to find the factory already engulfed in flames, with about 80% of the structure destroyed.
The fire was eventually extinguished by 8.55am, and fortunately, no casualties were reported.
A total of 58 firefighters from four stations—Nilai, Seremban 2, Mantin, and Rantau—were involved in the operation to put out the blaze.
Officers from the Environment Department and the police were also present to assist in handling the situation.
Thick smoke seen from miles away
Eyewitnesses reported seeing plumes of thick smoke rising from the site, visible as far as Seremban, located around 30km away.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and estimating the total losses incurred by the incident.
Footage of the devastating fire was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by @mynewshub, showcasing the extent of the damage and the thick smoke blanketing the surrounding area.

Namun, tiada mangsa dilaporkan terlibat dalam kejadian berkenaan setakat ini.
