Once you have entered your preferred car plate number, the system will show the minimum bidding amount, district, number type (Jenis Number), etc. The bidding amount depends on the number type of your preferred plate number, which is ranked from GOLDEN, MENARIK, POPULAR and SEMASA. For example, “KFC168” is classified as SEMASA, thus setting the minimum bidding amount at RM300, whereas “KFC2” is classified as GOLDEN, pushing it all the way up to RM20,000.

JPJ Kedah Deputy Director Abdul Tolib Ahmad said that the numbers available for bidding ranges from number 2 to 9999. The plates are expected to be insanely competitive as JPJ earned more than RM1.2 million for the “KFA” car plate registration.

The highest bid recorded was for the “KEN” registration number which raked in RM4.8 million in 2016.
