Whenever we think of buffaloes and cows, we often associate them with loud, bellowing sounds that can be heard several metres away.
For this buffalo however, it surprised everyone (including its owner) with its amusing inability to let out a sound loud enough for its fellow buffaloes to hear.
Clip shows buffalo using soft grunts to call out to its friends
In the 1-minute clip shared to TikTok by @kepper_yumfarm, it showed the buffalo trying its best to beckon to other buffaloes to return to the pen.
However, in the midst of doing so, the sound that came out from its mouth sounded like a whimper or a kitten mewling.
In the background, the OP can be heard asking the buffalo, “Where are your friends? Ask them to come back quickly.”
In response, the buffalo tried again but still gave the same weak grunt that was akin to a horn being honked in slow motion.
Despite the OP’s efforts in encouraging the buffalo to voice up (literally) by making her own rendition of the animal’s usual loud grunts, the buffalo still persisted in producing quiet grunts as it ambled towards an open field.

The clip, which has since garnered 1.1 million views at the time of writing, had netizens rolling with laughter over the buffalo’s seemingly shy demeanour in calling for its fellow buffaloes to return home.
