Japanese casual dining chain Saizeriya is officially entering Malaysia with plans to open its first outlets later this year.
According to an announcement by Saizeriya Co., Ltd., the company will set up a wholly owned subsidiary called Malaysia Saizeriya in September 2025.

The subsidiary will handle the operation of the restaurant chain in the country.
The move is part of Saizeriya’s global expansion, which already covers Japan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.
The Malaysian market is seen as the next step for the chain, which is known for its affordable Italian-style dishes.
About Saizeriya
Saizeriya is a Japanese family-style restaurant brand that specializes in Italian cuisine.
Founded in 1967 in Chiba, Japan, it began as a small restaurant and has since grown into a large chain with thousands of outlets across Asia.

The brand is popular for offering budget-friendly pasta, pizza, gratin, and steak dishes, often priced lower than most casual dining restaurants.
In places like Singapore and Hong Kong, Saizeriya has built a reputation for being a go-to spot for students, families, and budget-conscious diners.
The company said the establishment of the Malaysian subsidiary will not have a major effect on its financial results for now, but it aims to expand steadily in the new market .
What Malaysians can expect
With its entry into Malaysia, Saizeriya is expected to bring the same affordable dining concept.
Customers can look forward to a wide variety of Italian-inspired meals, alongside Saizeriya’s signature free-flow drinks bar that is a favorite feature in its other outlets.
