The wedding ceremony is a cherished moment for couples, a day they hope will be perfect in every way.
Unfortunately, one recent viral TikTok video, posted by @zuhaezoel, captured a rather unexpected turn of events during a wedding in Brunei last October.
Picture-perfect moment or perfectly awkward?
The 19-second clip begins with a couple walking towards the aisle, surrounded by smiles and the anticipation of a perfect moment.
A videographer is meticulously capturing the scene, slowly walking backward to achieve the ideal shot.
Everything seems flawless until an unexpected guest, clad in yellow Malay traditional clothes, crashes in and takes a photo, completely disrupting the carefully orchestrated moment.
Guess who? The wedding crasher’s identity revealed
Speaking to WeirdKaya, @zuhaezoel revealed that the intruder was none other than a relative from her dad’s side.
‘It was one of my relatives, from my dad’s side, she said.”
She expressed her frustration over the incident, mentioning that her media team, particularly the videographer, was visibly upset by the unexpected intrusion.
Both the bride and groom, along with her father, expressed frustration at the relative’s actions, with her father sternly instructing him not to interrupt again during other photo sessions.
Lessons for future brides
@zuhaelzol admitted that her negligence played a part, as she had not informed the MC (master of ceremonies) to instruct guests to stay clear of the bride during the videography.
“It was also my fault for not informing the MC to keep the guests away from the videographer,” she recounted.
The incident has left her hoping that future brides will learn from her experience, either by instructing relatives or hiring someone to ensure such disruptions do not occur on their special day.
She hopes the video serves as a reminder for brides to communicate clearly with their media teams and take necessary precautions to avoid disruptions.
Despite the interruption, @zuhaelzol expressed gratitude that some shots were salvageable, even if the duration was brief.
Netizens were pissed off too
As of now, the video has garnered over 140k views, and comments on the post reflect widespread frustration towards the relative’s behaviour.
Some viewers suggested confronting the intruder immediately, while others proposed banning cameras altogether and opting for photo booths to maintain control over the wedding narrative.
