KLIA is no stranger to traffic congestion. But seriously, who in their right mind would leave their car unattended in the middle of a busy pickup lane?
A local driver has recently caused a major ruckus at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) after he left his car in the middle of the pickup lane.
Stopped for a smoke break
According to popular comedian Harith Iskander, who shared the incident on his official Twitter page to call out the driver for his irresponsible act.
“You know you’re in Malaysia” Award goes to VGD5679 who casually parks his car in middle of pick up lane at arrivals KLIA (turns out he was standing across the road smoking a cigarette casually watching the difficulty he caused everyone),” he captioned.
The driver of the silver Perodua Bezza stopped their car in the middle of the pickup lane and left it unattended while he went for a smoke. This caused inconvenience to other drivers who had to maneuver their cars around his parked vehicle.”
This left other drivers attempting to maneuver their cars around his vehicle, causing major inconvenience and congestion at the busy airport.

Meanwhile, Malaysian Airports Berhad (MAB), the management company responsible for the KLIA complex, has responded to the incident and stated that they have informed the relevant authorities of the driver’s actions.

“Several netizens expressed frustration over the perceived lack of enforcement of traffic rules, and how the driver’s behavior only added to the existing traffic congestion at KLIA.”
