Previously, Gucci and Adidas came together to create a non-waterproof umbrella which cost more than RM7,000 in their latest collaboration collection.
Now, it was Balenciaga’s turn to sell a pair of ordinary black hair clips for at a ridiculous price of RM1,300 —the kind you used to wear during your primary school years to keep your bangs in place!
The only difference? You get to show off Balenciaga’s gold-coloured logo printed on the hair clips.
According to its website, the hair clips are part of Balenciaga’s Lost Tape Collection and are 100% made from steel in Italy.
The clips also come in XXL size, where its measurements are 3.9 (L) x 0.3 (H) x 1.1 (W) in inches.
However, a quick check on Shopee showed that 12 pieces of these clips only cost RM2.95 in total.
Are we super rich now?
Balenciaga’s hair clips has since left netizens dumbfounded, who wondered how something so simple could be sold at such an exorbitant price.
“This is how vain human beings have become.”
One netizen commented that she’d probably become rich soon as she had many of such clips at home.
Some also commented that it would be an expensive lesson if one were to misplace or lose the hair clips.
