It’s not everyday that you get to be up close and personal with a member from the royal family, let alone the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA) himself.
A group of students in Pahang had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to not only meet the Agong in person, but also had a few selfies taken with him too. How lucky!
Agong takes selfies with Pahang students
In a clip shared by Istana Negara’s official Facebook page, it showed His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah handing out donations to the students at SMK Tengku Ampuan Afzan in Chenor.
After making the donations, the Agong spent some time interacting with the students and even gathered them around for a group selfie.
While some of the students looked rather nervous and could barely hold in their excitement, it was understandable because after all, it’s a rare chance to have a selfie taken with the King of Malaysia!
Netizens praise the Agong’s humble side
In the comment section, netizens were full of praise for the Agong and commended him for making an effort to interact with the students despite his royal status.
