It’s a rare sight to see members of the royal family make a public appearance, let alone have a meal with the common folk.
As such, a group of Malaysians in KL were pleasantly surprised when His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA) decided to join them for breakfast at a restaurant.
Agong surprises M’sians by having breakfast with them
The surprise visit was shared in a Facebook post by the Agong’s official Facebook page, where it wrote that Sultan Ibrahim took time out of his busy schedule to have breakfast with his staff and Malaysians at a restaurant in KL today.

In one of the photos, it showed the Agong entering the restaurant while accompanied by his entourage with several customers looking on in awe as they never expected him to turn up.
Another showed Sultan Ibrahim having a lighthearted conversation with several individuals, believed to be customers of the restaurant.

The caption wrote that aside from having a meal with members of the public, he also graciously posed for photographs with them, which thrilled them to no end.
Conducted spot-check at KL
After breakfast, Sultan Ibrahim went on an impromptu spot-check session on the cleanliness and condition of the surroundings in the city center.
In the post, it wrote that “His Majesty is highly concerned about the cleanliness and well-being of public spaces, in line with efforts to ensure that Kuala Lumpur remains a clean and orderly city.”

This isn’t the first time the Agong had made mingled with the public, with the previous instance taking place on his birthday:
