Agong Sets New Record With RM1.75mil Bid For “FFF 1” License Plate

He hopes the winning bid will benefit the public.
Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, has once again set a new record for the highest bid on a vehicle license plate in Malaysia.

This time, our Agong secured the special edition “FFF 1” plate with a winning bid of RM1.75 million. This bid surpasses his previous record set just three months ago.

According to Malay Mail, on February 20, Sultan Ibrahim made headlines by bidding RM1.5 million for the “GOLD 1” license plate, a national record at the time.

In addition to his new “FFF 1” and “GOLD 1” plates, our Agong also owns the “FF1” plate, which he won with a RM1.2 million bid in June last year.

Hopes RM1.75mil Winning Bid Will Benefit the Public

In a Facebook post, Sultan Ibrahim expressed his hopes that the funds from the bid, which will be channelled to the federal government, would be used to benefit the people.

The post also featured a picture of Transport Minister Anthony Loke presenting the special edition plate to the Sultan.

The “FFF” series of number plates was open for online bidding from May 11 to May 15, in celebration of the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) 78th anniversary.

Sultan Ibrahim, known for his passion for cars and motorcycles, frequently participates in JPJ’s number plate auctions.
