If you live or work in the Bandar Sunway area, you’ve probably seen or spent time at the Sunway Pyramid mall, where it’s most known for the giant sphinx statue at its entrance.
However, as the saying ‘all good things must come to an end’, supermarket retail chain Aeon will be moving out of the mall after 16 years in operation. Noooooooo!

Aeon Sunway Pyramid to close on July 31
In a Facebook post written by the mall on Friday (July 14), it confirmed that Aeon Sunway Pyramid will be moving out on July 31.
Lion would like to thank AEON for a memorable 16 years of journey that has provided the community with essential goods during the ups and downs.
“With a heavy heart, Lion would like to bid farewell and let’s go down memory lane together by visiting Aeon for the very last time before 31 July,” it wrote.

According to Sunway Pyramid’s official website, it stated that the mall will undergo improvements to introduce a fresh and trendy atmosphere to its renovated spaces.
It also said that Aeon will be exiting in stages, with the First floor, Ground Floor, and Lower Ground 1 (LG1) already moved out on July 2, while Lower Ground 2 (LG2) will follow suit on July 31.
In the meantime, Sunway Pyramid will be still have these shops available within its premises:
- Harvey Norman, HOOGA, Homes Harmony, KAISON
- Parkson, Padini, Brands Outlet, Uniqlo, AURI, Wanderlust+co
- Mothercare, The Entertainer Toy Shop, LEGO®
- MBG Fresh Fruit Shop, Don Don Donki
Netizens bid tearful farewell
