A 7-year-old girl was found walking frantically on the side pathway of the road in Manjung is believed to be a victim of sexual abuse.
A man found her stranded all alone
Manjung acting OCPD Deputy Supt Chong Boo Khim detailed that a man found the girl, appeared to be bedraggled, walking down the road at 11.50 am on April 17th.
“The man then ushered the girl to a police station near the district right before the policemen brought her to Seri Manjung Hospital for treatment,” said DSP Chong.
Possibilities are there that she is a rape victim
Upon conducting checks thoroughly on the girl , it was unveiled that the girl was possibly harassed sexually and abused.
“During checks on her body found old and new injuries,” he said during a statement on Tuesday (April 18).
He further added that a team from the criminal investigation division apprehended two men and a woman approximately around 9.30pm the same day.
DSP Chong claimed that the three primary suspects are the girl’s mother, 29, the girl’s first stepfather, 40 and the mother’s current husband, 26.
“These three accused will be remanded till April 23 for further examination of the crime and the case is now being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act and Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017,” he reckoned.
