A daughter is urgently appealing for the public’s help after her 74-year-old mother, Sam Ah Mooi, went missing.
According to Subang Jaya assemblywoman Michelle Ng Mei Sze, who shared a video of the appeal, Sam was last seen at the Wawasan LRT station.
Has dementia and diabetes
In the video, Sam’s daughter, Christy, explained that her mother has dementia and may be unable to remember what happened or find her way home.
I hope everyone can help us. She has dementia, so she forgets things, may not understand what is happening and does not know how to return home,” she said.

Christy added that her mother also has diabetes and requires medication.
She has been missing for five days. She has not eaten, had anything to drink or taken her medication, so I’m extremely worried about her condition.”
Cries every night
Besides worrying about her mother’s health, Christy said she had no idea where the elderly woman had been sleeping at night.
She is an elderly woman. I don’t know how long she can hold on like this or where she has been sleeping.
“I haven’t been able to sleep over the past few days. I cry every night,” she said.
Christy ended the appeal by asking Malaysians to help bring her mother home safely.
I sincerely hope everyone can help me. I really hope you can help bring her back.”
Those who have seen Sam or have information about her whereabouts are urged to contact the authorities and share the appeal with others.
