Double-parking is sometimes seen as a “necessary annoyance” whenever parking spots are scarce, but it becomes more than an inconvenience when the car owner doesn’t bother to make things easier for affected parties.
An elderly man had no choice but to go home on foot under the scorching sun after a car owner failed to leave their contact number behind after blocking his vehicle by double-parking.

Futile efforts to ‘free’ car
In a viral Threads post, the OP expressed her frustration towards the owner of a double-parked Bezza which blocked her father’s vehicle and posed a huge inconvenience to him.
She also added that she couldn’t contact the car owner as they didn’t leave their phone number behind.
The (Bezza) blocked by dad’s car for hours and no phone number was left behind, nor was the car’s handbrake disengaged.

“In the end, my dad had to walk home so that he could make it in time for Friday prayers at the mosque,” she fumed, before urging the car owner to relocate the vehicle immediately.
The OP also revealed in the comment section that her father was 73 years old and didn’t exactly enjoy the best of health.
Netizens praise man’s calmness
In the comment section, many voiced admiration for the elderly man’s extreme calmness in the fact of such great inconsideration.

Meanwhile, many took offense on behalf of the elderly man, with one writing that she hopes one day the Bezza owner will have a taste of their own medicine next time.

Some also urged the OP to call the city council or police to intervene if a similar situation occurs again.
