Lucky draws always have a way of getting people excited.

For six-year-old Mohd Zulfikar Al Fateh Mohd Fauzi, that excitement turned into reality when he won the grand prize—a Perodua Axia—at a lucky draw event in a Kota Kinabalu shopping mall.
What started as a regular day for his family ended with a story they’ll be telling for years.

The event reached its climax when three finalists, including little Zulfikar, were invited on stage. Each was given a chance to pick one of three identical keys, but only one would unlock the car, reported Harian Metro.
When Zulfikar’s turn came, you could feel the tension in the room. Holding his chosen key, he stepped up to the car.
The moment the lock clicked open, cheers erupted. He’d done it! The youngest finalist had claimed the prize, leaving the crowd in awe.
‘It’s a New Year’s blessing’
For his mother, Norazemah Nordin, the win felt almost surreal.
“This prize is a blessing for our child. It’s an unexpected New Year’s gift. We are truly grateful,” she said with a smile, still processing their incredible luck.
Interestingly, they hadn’t even planned to take part in the lucky draw.
Norazemah explained that she had only visited the mall to pick up her glasses from Robert.T 1994, the store hosting the event.
But as fate would have it, her purchase made her eligible to join the contest, setting the stage for this unforgettable moment.
Big plans for the new car
While the family already owns a car, the newly won Perodua Axia is set to become their go-to vehicle for special family trips.
“We already have a car, so this one will be used for vacations,” Norazemah shared.
Her husband, who works in Kota Kinabalu, plans to personally drive the car back to their hometown in Keningau, Sabah—a journey that will surely carry a sense of pride and gratitude.
