A 69-year-old man has gone missing for close to a day after he left his home in Cheras yesterday (Nov 11), causing his family members to worry for his safety.
The man, identified as Zhang Yaxing (transliteration), was last seen leaving his home in Taman Sri Bahtera at around 6.30pm and hasn’t returned since, his son told China Press.
Suffers from dementia
Zhang’s son added that Zhang suffers from dementia, which makes communication with him more difficult.
He added that Zhang did not take his MyKad or mobile phone along with him when he left home, thus rendering it impossible for his family to contact him.

Zhang is described as being around 173cm tall and has with white-grey hair. He was wearing black shorts, a white collared short-sleeve shirt, and slippers before he went missing.
As for his last known location, it was said to be near Jalan Lanchang and Taman Yulek.
Zhang’s son said this was the first time the elderly man had gone missing and that the family had looked for Zhang in all the places he might visit or appear around Cheras, but to no avail.
