A routine U-turn turned chaotic after a 69-year-old man allegedly pressed the wrong pedal and crashed his car into a shop lot in Beseri, Perlis earlier today.
The incident reportedly took place at Kampung Darat and left the front portion of a business premises damaged.
Allegedly pressed gas pedal by mistake
According to Harian Metro, Padang Besar district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Shokri Abdullah said police received a report regarding the incident at around 10.20am.

Initial investigations found that the accident involved a Volkswagen Polo driven by a 69-year-old local man.
The driver was believed to have lost control of the vehicle while attempting to make a U-turn before accidentally stepping on the accelerator pedal instead of the brake.
Crashed into another car before slamming into shop
The vehicle then reportedly rammed into a Perodua Kancil before crashing straight into the front section of a nearby business premises.
As a result of the impact, the shop suffered structural damage at the front area, while both vehicles were also badly damaged. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the incident.
Police said the case is currently being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
