When it comes to driving, most would feel uneasy letting the elderly be behind the wheel due to concerns about their ability to maneuver the vehicle safely.
For this woman however, she didn’t let her age be an obstacle to her passing her driving test, an achievement which has left many impressed.
61yo M’sian woman passes driving test On 1st attempt
In a TikTok video shared by a driving school @institutmemanduganda, it showed the elderly woman driving the car with a much younger female instructor seated beside her.
Throughout the clip, the woman showed no signs of nervousness but skillfully maneuvered the car as though it was second nature to her.
According to the caption, the woman was 61-years-old and had passed the driving test with flying colours on her first attempt, proving that with anything’s possible with determination.
Netizens inspired by woman’s achievement
The clip has since garnered over 180,000 views at the time of writing along with hundredss of comments from netizens who were floored by how calm and confident the elderly woman was.
One wrote that the woman had inspired her to obtain her own driver’s license in her 30s, an age she jokingly said was “too old”.
Another confessed that he had hidden his driver’s license and never drove a car for the past 12 years due to fear.
Meanwhile, another netizen who got her driver’s license at the age of 39 wrote that one needs to stay calm and confident during the driving test.
