Most often say that ‘persistence pays off’, and for a construction worker in Johor, this phrase definitely rang true for him.
This comes after he became a millionaire overnight after a bet on two random numbers raked in millions of Ringgit for him following two decades of faithful betting.
Lucky bet
According to a statement provided to WeirdKaya, the man said he had been playing Magnum 4D for the past 20 years.
One day, he spotted a Lucky Pick displayed on Magnum 4D’s Permas Jaya outlet’s glass panel and decided to place a RM20 bet on the numbers 2106 and 0963.
It later turned out to be a life-changing combo as it netted the man the grand Jackpot 1 prize worth a whopping RM10,610,543.
Didn’t realise he’d won
Amazingly, the man didn’t know that he had become a millionaire until he visited the outlet again a few days later to place another bet and check his previous tickets.
When a staff informed him of the win, he was shocked to see his life being turned upside down, albeit in a positive manner.
“I was in total shock. I never imagined a Lucky Pick ticket could actually be
this lucky,” he remarked.
The man added that he found it difficult to sleep for the next few nights over the massive win and that his wife, who also bets, was equally shocked by the news.
He said that despite the win, he has no plans to stop working anytime soon and wants to take things slowly along with his wife while what to do with the prize money.
