A total of five Thai women and one Malaysian woman found themselves in trouble with the law after they arrested by Melaka police for allegedly offering sex services.
The raid, codenamed Ops Noda Khas, was carried out by the Gambling, Crime and Secret Societies Division (D7) of IPK Melaka in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Division of IPD Melaka Tengah.

According to a Facebook post by Melaka police, the raid was carried out on Mar 31 at two different hotels.
During the raid, six women aged between 24 and 42 years old were arrested, where five of them were from Thailand and one from Malaysia.
Investigations also found that the Thai women had overstayed their visit to the country.
As to how the women would get in contact with their clients, police said that they used an app called MiChat and charged between RM150 to RM250 for their services.
All of the women were detained under Section 372B of the Penal Code for suspected engagement in prostitution activities, where if found guilty, carries a jail term not more than a year, a fine or both.
As for the Thai women, they are also facing charges under Section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act, where they are liable to a jail term of up to five years, a fine not less than RM10,000 or both.
