A 45-year-old motorcyclist is feared missing after reportedly falling off the Secondlink Bridge towards Singapore early Wednesday morning.
The abandoned motorcycle left on the bridge served as the last trace of the missing rider.
Senior Fire Officer II, Ishak Noh, stated that they received an emergency call at 7:17am, according to Sin Chew Daily.
He mentioned that an operations team, including a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle and seven personnel from the Iskandar Puteri Fire and Rescue Station, was dispatched to the scene.
“Upon arrival, it was believed that the victim had already fallen, with only a motorcycle left on the bridge,” he said.
“As of now, search and rescue operations are ongoing.”
It is understood that the fire department has yet to locate the victim.
