A 33-year-old woman has been arrested by police in Puncak Alam, Selangor for allegedly sexually assaulting her 14-year-old son and filming the entire incident, reported FMT.
Police were alerted of the incident after receiving a tip-off from a social welfare department officer.
Allegedly sexually assaulted son and filmed the incident
According to Kuala Selangor district police chief Ramli Kasa, the social welfare department officer had received a video of the woman allegedly sexually assaulting her son from an unknown individual and promptly filed a police report over the matter.
He said as soon as the report was made, police proceeded to arrest the woman at her home and also seized a mobile phone believed to have been used toPol film the incident.
“Our investigations revealed that the victim is the third out of five siblings and that the incident occurred inside a room at the suspect’s home.
“We also believe that the video was made in November of last year,” he said.
Remanded for 5 days
The woman has since been remanded for five days starting from Wednesday (May 3) to facilitate investigations under Section 14 and Section 5 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
Under Section 14, she faces a jail term not more than 20 years and a whipping for physical sexual assault on a child, while Section 5 carries a jail term of not more than 30 years and not less than six cane strokes for producing child pornography.
Police investigations also found that the woman’s husband is currently incarcerated. However, urine tests showed she was negative for drugs.
Meanwhile, Ramli said that the other children, aged between 9 and 17, have been placed under the care of the Social Welfare Department (JKM).
