According to a friend named Zhong, he had traveled to JB to sell his cryptocurrency, valued at RM240,000. The details of the transaction, including its location and time, remain unknown.

We don’t know the full details of his crypto transaction, so we’re a bit lost on where to start looking if we were to go into JB,” she told the Singapore-based digital media company.

Mothership also reported that Manuel last communicated with his fiancée around 4:00 pm on the same day.

Subsequent calls and messages from his family went unanswered.

The last known record of Manuel’s movements was a Grab ride from his Bukit Merah residence to Bugis Bus Terminal at Queen Street.

His brother has filed a police report in both Singapore and JB.

Set to marry in seven months

Manuel, a computer analyst, was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black top, with a distinctive birthmark on his right eye.

Known for being responsible and usually reachable, his disappearance has deeply worried his loved ones, especially as he is set to marry in seven months.

Manuel’s fiancée, who chose to remain unnamed, shared that they had planned to have dinner together on the day he went missing.

She last heard from him at 3:45 pm, but her subsequent messages did not go through. The couple, who met 11 years ago in a university co-curricular activity, had plans to choose a BTO flat next month.

The family and friends are urging anyone with information to come forward.
