24yo M’sian slashed to death in front of Jasin Hospital
Speaking to the English daily, Jasin deputy police chief Supt Ahmad Jamil Radzi said the 24-year-old victim was first accosted and attacked by a group of masked men at a barber shop in Taman Rim Baru at 8.40pm.
He then called his 22-year-old brother to send him to the Jasin Hospital to seek treatment for his injuries.
However, upon arriving at the emergency department of the hospital, the assailants returned and again started to attack him mercilessly and even smashed the windscreen of the car.
“The victim’s brother ran away out of fear and sought refuge at the Jasin police headquarters, where he made a police report.
“An ambulance which was parked at the emergency unit was also damaged due to the attack,” he said.
Unfortunately, the victim didn’t survive the attack as he succumbed to his injuries at 10.15pm on the same day.
3 suspects arrested
Ahmad Jamil said police have since nabbed three suspects aged between 21 and 31 years and are on the hunt for two more suspects.
The suspects have been remanded for three days to assist investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
The police are also working to uncover whether a gang-related feud or revenge was the motive for the brutal attack.
