SUNGAI SIPUT – A fatal car crash had resulted in the death of a 21-year-old victim at Kilometre 34, Jalan Besar Ipoh-Kuala Kangsar yesterday (9 Nov) night.
The victim has been identified as Ho Kang Wei, whose car had crashed into a container truck.
District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd. Khaizam Ahmad Shahabudin said the victim was heading to Sungai Siput from the north with his Perodua Myvi.
He added that the victim’s car lost control and skidded into the opposite lane, sending the vehicle to crash right into the truck.

“The victim’s body was sent to Hospital Sungai Siput for autopsy, and investigations will be carried out under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Perak Fire and Rescue Team (JBPM) spokesman said a rescue team was dispatched to the scene after being notified at 10.07 pm yesterday.
“We tried to get the victim out as soon as we can with some tools. Unfortunately, he was declared dead by the medical officer.”
