A 21-year-old Bangladeshi factory worker tragically lost his life after getting trapped in a fiber machine at a factory on Jalan Bukit Kemuning early today(6 May).
Foreign worker killed at Selangor Factory
Hafisham Mohd Noor, Assistant Director of Operations for the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, said that they received a call regarding the incident at 7:06 am.
“A team of firefighters from the Shah Alam Fire and Rescue Station, consisting of 10 officers and personnel, was dispatched to the scene and arrived at 7:17 am,” he said in a statement today.

He explained that the victim was trapped in a fiber-cutting machine while working.
Took 10 minutes to free the young man
It took the rescue team 10 minutes to free the young man from the machine.
“Initial examination revealed that the victim suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) personnel,” he added.
The victim’s body was then taken to Shah Alam Hospital for further action.

Hafisham informed that the case has been handed over to the police for further investigation.
