The bodies of two tattooed men were found wrapped in canvas packages in a bushy area at the side of Jalan Kampung Ujong Padang in Cheng, Melaka today.
Harian Metro reported that a 35-year-old grocery truck driver stumbled upon the bodies while passing through the location at around 9 am before notifying the police.
Melaka Tengah district police chief Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit said a team from the district police headquarters (IPD) was immediately subsequently dispatched to the scene.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the first victim was wrapped in canvas and tied with cable ties and ropes. He was also found to be fully clothed in a black T-shirt and shorts.
“As for the second victim, he was also wrapped in canvas and placed beside the first victim. However, he was only wearing a pair of shorts,” he said in a statement today.
Patit said that based on the physical examination, it is believed that the victims were murdered two or three days ago at another location before their bodies were dumped by the roadside.
“Police did not find any identification documents on both victims and further investigations are still being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder,” he said.
He also advised the public not to speculate or spread false news regarding the incident and urged those with information to contact the investigating officer Assistant Superintendent Muhather Abd Kudus at 013-288 4878 or the Melaka Tengah IPD operations room at 06-284 1999.
