Two firefighters were praised for their bravery and quick thinking in saving the lives of two women after a food stall suddenly caught fire in Kedah.
The clip has since been making rounds on the Internet, where it showed how the blaze began and how it was eventually put out.
Pulled women out from blaze
In the more than one-minute long clip, it showed a stall being on fire at a food court at the Masjid Al Falah Felda Sungai Tiang food court.
Due to the fire blocking off the main exit and the stall’s cabin door being locked, two women were seen trapped inside the stall and screaming for help.

Fortunately, their cries for help were heard by two off-duty firemen who were at the scene, where they quickly pulled the women out from the stall and prevented other bystanders from coming near it.
One of the firemen then rushed over to a mosque nearby to fetch two fire extinguishers and helped put out the fire with his colleague.

Thankfully, the fire was successfully put out and the clip showed that several items were destroyed by the sudden blaze.

No fatalities reported
The firemen were identified as Muhammad Athir Maula Esaha and Mohammad Anas Elyas, who stopped by the food court for a meal while completing tasks related to a state-level Cadet Firemen competition, reported NST.
The English daily also reported that they had noticed the flames but initially thought it was just part of the cooking routine.
It was later discovered that a detached gas hose was responsible for the inferno.

Fortunately, the two women only suffered minor injuries and are reported to be in a safe condition.
Kudos to the firemen for stepping in quickly and risking their safety to rescue the women!
