A 17-year-old girl who went missing from her home in Meru, Klang last Friday (Apr 28) has been found safe and sound after five days of searching.
NST reported that the girl, Nur Adriana Natasya was found by her family at the home of her friend in Hutan Melintang, Perak yesterday afternoon.
Ran away from home 3 times in the past
According to Klang Utara police chief Assistant Commissioner S. Vijaya Rao, he said this wasn’t the first time Nur Adriana had walked out of the house.
Investigations found that she had run away from home three times before, where she went to a friend’s house each time and was eventually returned to her family by police.
“In her latest disappearance, police were tracking her whereabouts, where she was believed to be around Ampang and Damansara. We were later told that she was found by her family in a safe condition in Hutan Melintang,” he said.
Left family worried with disappearance
Nur Adriana’s disappearance first came to light on the media yesterday, where her older sister pleaded for the public’s help in locating the teen.
Nur Amira Natasya Noor Sazli told Berita Harian that her younger sister is dyslexic and suffers from Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
“On the day Nur Adriana disappeared, my mother was getting ready for work and realised that she wasn’t in her room.
“She had left the house with only a mobile phone and we tried calling her but to no avail, causing us to lodge a police report at the Klang Utara police headquarters,” she said.
Nur Amira also said that her mother kept crying throughout the days her sister went missing as she was worried for her safety.
We’re glad to hear that Nur Adriana has finally reunited with her family and we hope she doesn’t run away again!
