Hurting a child, whether physically, emotionally, or sexually, is never okay—especially when it comes from someone close to them, it’s a serious violation of their rights.
Recently, a 17-month-old baby boy died believed to have been abused by one of the friends of the victim’s mother.
M’sian baby allegedly dies from abuse

The Besut District Police Chief, Superintendent Abdul Rozak Muhammad said, the police received a report from the Kampung Raja Health Clinic yesterday (Nov 8) regarding the death of the child.
As reported by Harian Metro, Rozak mentioned that the clinic found the victim unconscious with bruises on multiple limbs.
He also mentioned that the autopsy revealed the victim’s death resulted from a small intestine leakage.

Following that, the victim’s 27-year-old mother was arrested to assist the investigation and will be remanded today (Nov 9).
Police are looking for the suspect
Through the investigation, it was discovered that the child was given to a male friend of his mother to look after at 4 pm on November 7.
The child was then returned back to the victim’s mother at 7.30 am on November 8.
In a media statement, Rozak said that the police are currently searching for the suspect’s male friend.
The police have urged anyone with information about the case to reach out to the Besut District Police Headquarters at 09-6956222.
The case is now investigated under Section 31 (1) of the Children’s Act 2001 which is the abuse, neglect, abandonment or exposure of a child who can be sentenced to a fine not exceeding RM 20,000 or can be imprisoned for not more than 10 years or both.
