Schooling days are often considered to be the best times of our lives, where we would reminisce on the instances which landed us in both minor and major trouble.
For this student, it was one he definitely hoped to forget after he got his finger stuck in a desk.
14yo student gets finger stuck in desk
Sin Chew Daily reported that the unusual incident took place at a school in Batu Gajah, Perak, yesterday (Mar 5).
Batu Gajah Fire & Rescue Department chief Mohd Norshah Shahri said they received a call for help at 4.08pm and six firefighters were dispatched to the school.
When they arrived, they found the student sitting helplessly with his left ring finger stuck inside the desk.
It’s also not known how the student got himself in the sticky situation in the first place.
Firefighters free finger with special tools
Shari said the firefighters then employed the help of special tools to drill a hole into the desk in order to make the hole bigger.
Thankfully, it didn’t take long for them to free the student’s finger, where the operation was brought to an end at 4.30pm.
Hopefully this will serve as a lesson to the student not to stick his fingers into places where they don’t belong!
